I have been narrating audiobooks since 2014. I’m originally from Manchester, England and I have over 25 years of experience in the theater.

I can perform of a variety of British regional accents – Lancashire, Yorkshire, RP English, Scottish, Cockney, West Country and Irish. I can also perform American, Australian and South African accents.

I have narrated over 40 books and am having the best time doing it!

I love to read! My favorite activity is snuggling  down with my teenage daughters in the evening and reading aloud to them; all the stress of the day ebbs away and we escape to another world…bliss!

I record in my home studio with a Rode NT-1 cardioid microphone and edit with Avid Pro-Tools. I achieve a very low noise floor due to both the high quality of my equipment and my remote location and am proud to deliver professional quality mastered audio that complements the quality of my voice.

Testimonials

‘Danielle was an excellent collaborator on The Smog, a mystery set in London’s east-end. Her command of multiple British accents was essential in bringing the story to life. Her narration and characterisations were spot-on. She was also great with making suggestions and asking questions, and she worked efficiently throughout the entire process. She kept us informed about her progress, and we would love to work with her again!’
Amper & Sand Publishing, publisher of The Smog

“Danielle has a unique talent for bringing characters to life. Her skill, dedication and professionalism make working with her a pleasure. In my opinion she is one of the best, if not the best, voice artists out there today.”

Kevin Mcleod, author of The Viking’s Apprentice

“Danielle did an excellent job translating my book to audio. She really brought the characters to life and knew exactly how to pace the story. Danielle takes direction well, communicates at every stage and is always happy to make suggestions, if there are any areas of the adaptation that you are uncertain about. She even took the trouble to provide me with a short list of typos at the end! She is a real professional and I couldn’t be happier with the finished book.”

Greg Wilson, author of Murder in Paradise

“As the sole narrator for my twenty-five book A to Z Things audio series for children, Danielle Cohen demonstrated her talents and professionalism every step of the way. And listeners love her British accent that reminds me of Julie Andrews. I would certainly be happy to work with Danielle again and highly recommend as someone dedicated to her craft, who can deliver time and time again.”
